TIME TO EXPERIENCE COVA'S HIGHLY ALLOCATED WINES
This is the time of year when many wineries release some of their most highly sought after gems. Of these, some are cult wines and others are limited production highly rated treasures. Many are listed in the "Top 100 Wines of the World" by a popular wine periodical. Usually, by the time this list is published the vast majority of the wines are sold out. However, at Cova, because we taste myriad wines yearly, we usually know what wines will make the list before it's published, and stock up on them. In particular, we knew that the wine we poured by the glass for weeks, the 95-Point Tignanello Cabernet Blend would be in the top 5, so we stockpiled dozens of cases so that everyone would get an opportunity to try this delicious juice. So, if you want one of the "world's best wines", we have it available while quantities last (limit 3 bottles per customer please).

Below, you'll find a partial list of other allocated wines that are available at Cova now! Some are in the Top 100, while others are cult wines that are generally only available in restaurants.

Big, jammy and unapologetically fruit forward! This delicious Argentine Malbec features layer upon layer of wild black raspberry jam, black cherry preserves, ripe plums, and candied huckleberry. Hints of lavender and spice complete this easy-drinking but serious package. The finish lasts for over 30 seconds! What more could you ask for in a $12 bottle of red! Buy this one by the case and drink it over the next 3 years. It's ideal for beef stroganoff, leg of lamb or a nice firm aged cheese. 90 Points M.H.

Cova’s Wine Bar:
The Cova Wine Bar is open at 11AM Mon-Sat for guests to enjoy wines from our selection of 40 wines that we offer by the taste and by the glass. We also offer 10 flights, which is a selection of three wines grouped by theme. Flights let you experience many different taste sensations and can be very educational. Each wine is served in a tasting size and represents a savings over ordering them as three separate tastes. Our wine list changes every Friday to keep the selections new and exciting for our guests. Along with our extensive wine list, every wine we have in Cova Hand-Selected Wines is available to purchase and open for a minimal $10 corkage fee.

For guests that would like to visit us before 5 PM, we have cheese plates in both tapas and racion sizes, the tapa being a selection of 4 of our 14 different cheeses, and the racion a selection of 4 with the addition of Finocchiona, Cacciatore, Speck Alto-Adige and Jamon Serrano.

We start serving food from our tapas menu at 5PM daily, and are open until 11PM Mon-Thu and 1AM Fri & Sat. Our tapas menu is updated weekly with fresh and interesting ingredients and new menu items designed by our Executive Chef, Eric Lawhon.

Wine Classes are held in the main dining room at Cova Washington, located at 5555 Washington Ave. Wine Dinners are held in the Reserve Room at Cova Kirby, located at 5600 Kirby Dr.
