What is the Monsterville Wine Experience?
At Cova, wine is to be experienced – not simply to be hoarded, or put on display to impress your friends. So we developed The Monsterville Wine Experience – an ongoing series of classes, dinners, and other events under the direction of Monsterville Horton that serve to increase your knowledge and excite your senses. We promise to provide an uncommon experience, with compelling wines and expertly paired foods in an fun and interactive setting.

Valentine's Day in the Reserve Room

For an over the top Valentine's Day Dinner, featuring rare allocated wines join us in the Reserve Room at Monsterville's Table. The lobster and steak menu will include all of the dishes in the menu below as well as Wagyu Steaks. Featured wines will include Grand Cru Burgundy, Rare Barolo, Rare California Cabernet Sauvignon & Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Vintage Champagne! This dinner is limited to 12 guests! 4th Annual Lobsters for Lovers Valentine's Day Dinner

We are excited to announce our 4th Annual Lobsters for Lovers Valentine's Day Dinner! Come and experience a special evening featuring a 4-course lobster dinner, including live Maine lobsters and Australian lobster tails. Perfect wine pairings and roses for the ladies will complete this memorable night! Spaces for this Sunday February 14th dinner are limited. So book your reservation early! This 4-course lobster feast is priced at $65 per person at Cova Washington and $75 at Cova Kirby. Tax and gratuity are additional. Some cheeses are a near religious with experience with the perfect wines while others can ruin a great wine. If you'd like to explore how to achieve wine and cheese bliss then join Monsterville as he leads a tasting of 8 delicious wines paired with over a 9 different artisanal cheeses. A 3-Course dinner featuring various cheeses will be served.

Would you like to learn more about wine in a fun atmosphere with great wines and food? Would you like to know how to describe wine in the language of wine professionals? How about being able to nose a wine and accurately write your own tasting note? If you answered yes, the join Monsterville for this Wine 101 class geared toward beginners and beginner-intermediate level wine lovers. This class will provide a glimpse into the many areas of the wine world covered in Cova's Boot Camp. And who knows after you get a glimpse you may want to know everything and sign up for Boot Camp! 8 wines and a 3-course dinner will be paired with the wines of each class.

Italian Wine & Food Class - Tuscany

Join Monsterville for a vinous and culinary tour of one of the greatest regions of Italy: Tuscany. Learn about the unique varietals planted in this region and discover why Tuscan food is among the best in Italy. 8 wines will be featured along with a 3-course dinner. We are excited to announce that our 8th Cova Boot Camp will be held the on the weekends of 2/20, 21 & 3/6, 7! What is Cova Boot Camp? It is a rare opportunity to receive a thorough overview of the entire world of wine by one of the world;s few Certified Wine Educators, Monsterville Horton, IV. This intensive 32-hour course is designed to expertly equip you with the knowledge and savvy to handle any wine situation; from business dinners, to entertaining at home, to starting a wine collection. The material learned from this course is designed to put graduates in the top 1% of all knowledgeable wine lovers worldwide! This special 2 for 1 Boot Camp offer is for a limited time. Boot Camp classes are held on Saturdays 8 AM - 4 PM and on Sundays 9 AM - 5 PM at Cova Kirby! A 3-course lunch with wine pairings is included each day of Boot Camp. With winter here it is the perfect time of year to leave the office early and head over to Cova for some great juice and tapas! Our happy hour is Monday - Friday from 4-7 PM at both Cova locations and is served in our bar area only. We feature a special menu of $5 wines by the glass and $5 tapas! Remember that Mondays are Girls' Night Out! Join us at the bar for Happy Hour prices all night long!
